Born From a Corner
in Pinehurst
A lifetime of beautiful spaces, a little farmhouse, and a tree that stopped traffic.
I've had a love for designing spaces since I was a little girl β but life had other plans first. For years I poured everything into property management, restaurants, and long shifts on my feet. Then came the travel. Beverly Hills. Argentina. Brazil. New Zealand. Tahiti. The textures, the colors, the way a beautifully designed space could make a person feel something β it all took a deep hold on me and never let go.
That feeling eventually led me to design my own restaurant β zebra wood tables, orange shag carpeting, bubble chairs, overstuffed club chairs, and martini glasses that caught the light just right. People walked in and felt special. That was always the point.
Then came a little farmhouse on the corner of NC5 and Lake Hills Road in Pinehurst, North Carolina. My husband built our modern farmhouse with his own hands β every beam, every wall, a true labor of love. My vision, his craftsmanship. People slowed down to watch it go up, and the whole neighborhood was captivated. When it was done, I knew exactly what it needed. A tree. Something extraordinary. Something that would give us privacy and stop people in their tracks.
I reached out to artisan fabricators in China until I found a family who truly understood my vision. Together, we created something I had never seen before β bark so realistic it looked aged and weathered, branches with knots that bent in beautiful, imperfect ways, and blooms of pink and white with the softest hint of yellow at the center. Every detail crafted together, snapshot by snapshot, across oceans.

Department of Transportation workers paused mid-shift just to stare at it. One woman stood in our yard with tears in her eyes, telling me she drove past our house every single day just to smile.
And in those moments, I realized something bigger was happening. People weren't just admiring a tree. They were talking to each other. Putting their phones down. Coming together the way we used to.
I'm almost 60 years old. I remember a world before cell phones and scrolling β a world where neighbors talked, strangers smiled, and a beautiful thing could bring a whole community together.
Beautiful Blossoms was born from that corner in Pinehurst. For the person who can't garden anymore. For the veteran who gave everything for this country and can no longer walk outside to tend a garden β but deserves to look out their window and see something breathtaking. For the one dealing with arthritis, or a wheelchair, or just a body that doesn't cooperate the way it used to. For the one who looks out a rainy window and needs something to smile at. For anyone who just wants a little more peace, a little more beauty, and a bloom that never fades.
